Every Tuesday evening that school is in session.

PLACE: Rothesay High School (Library) in Rothesay, New Brunswick. Just a short drive from Saint John.

TIME: Tuesdays, 7:-00 pm - 9:05 pm

NOTE: There are no meetings on storm days or school holidays.

Recognizing exceptional contribution is a part of how Toastmasters support and encourage one another. While every Toastmaster has achievements that have been recognized within the Club, not all can be listed here. Below is an incomplete listing of meritorious activities.

Among the opportunities for our members to win awards are our fall and spring speech contests, as well as our year-end awards.

2011/2012 Awards

Humorous Speech: Brian Shanks

Evaluation Contest: Nathan Davis - Nathan ended up doing well in the Area contest and went on to represent KV Toastmasters at the Division level.

2010/2011 Awards

International Speech: Joseph Butte

Humorous Speech: Stephen Almon - Stephen won first place at the Area contest and competed in the October 2010 Division Contest.

Evaluation Contest: Brad McInnis - Brad won first place at the Area contest and competed in the October 2010 Division Contest.

2009/2010 Awards

International Speech: Stephen Almon. Stephen went on to win at the Area level.

Table Topics: Richard Christie. Richard went on to win at the Area level.

Humorous Speech: Richard Mercer - Richard progressed through Area, Division and went on to win first place at the District 45 Conference November 2009. Way to go, Richard. We're proud of you.

Evaluation Contest: Jean Dickson - Jean won third place at the District 45 Conference November 2009.

2008/2009 Awards

International Speech: Stephen Almon. Stephen went on to win the Area contest.

Table Topics: Norma Blanchet (and Norma had only done TWO speeches when she won - way to go, Norma!!)

Humorous Speech: Jennifer Loomis (congrats to Jennifer - a new member!)

Evaluation Contest: Gerry Higgins (first place); Stephen Almon (runner up). This was only Stephen's second evaluation. We're proud of our new members!

2007/2008 Awards

2006/2007 Awards

It's official! Dana Lloyd has won the prestigious District 45 Toastmaster of the Year for 2006/2007. Dana beat out Toastmasters from New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire to win this award. District 45 has 1,800 members - so that's quite an achievement!

Humorous Speech: Dana Lloyd. This was only Dana's second speech! Dana went on to place second in the Area Contest.

Evaluation Contest: Joyce Nickerson. This was only Joyce's third evaluation!

2004/2005 Awards

Toastmaster of the Year: Elaine Moore. Elaine also won the Area Toastmaster of the Year award.

International Speech: Elaine Moore (first place); Richard Mercer (second place). Elaine went on to win the Area Contest and participated at the Division level.

Table Topics: Jean Dickson (first place); Elaine Moore (second place); Hugh Cannell (third place). Elaine went on to win both the Area and Division Contests and participated in the District contest.

Humorous Speech: Andrew Wallace. Andrew went on to win at the Area Contest and then place second at the Division Contest. He competed at the District Contest in St. Andrews but did not place.

Evaluation: Andrew Wallace (first place) and Winston Budd (second place). Andrew went on to win at the Area Contest and place third at the Division Contest in Moncton.

New Hampshire was where we showed the other Toastmasters' Clubs that Kennebecasis is the best little club in the east (I'll add west, north, south and every place in between!). We brought home two distinguished awards: Best Newsletter: Kennebecasis Toastmasters (Yeah! Way to go!); and Speech Contest Third Place: Jean V. Dickson.

Dave Rosvall Memorial Achievement Award: Harry McClenaghan was the winner of a prestigious prize, the Dave Rosvall Memorial Achievement Award. It is awarded for continuous meritorious service to District 45 and beyond. The award is presented in memory of Distinguished Toastmaster Dave Rosvall by his home club Saint John Toastmasters Club 1479. Harry is one of the founders of the Kennebecasis Club and is loved by all its members for his enthusiasm, his delight in the achievements of fellow Toastmasters, his contribution to the club, and his gentle but helpful feedback. Well done, Harry!

International Speech Contest: Jean V. Dickson - Jean went on to win Area and then place third at the District competition.
